FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: POWER EDGE

1. What is Power Edge?
The primary active material of PE is Creatine Monohydrate.

2. How does Creatine Monohydrate (CM) work in our bodies?
Creatine monohydrate is a precursor to Creatine phosphate (CP). By supplementing with CM, CP levels in muscle are maximized, and more muscular work can occur, since there are greater energy reserves to use.

3. Do our bodies produce Creatine?
Creatine occurs in highest concentrations in skeletal muscle, followed by cardiac and smooth muscle, brain, kidney and spermatozoa.

4. Can Creatine cause Kidney failure?
There is no evidence- based research so far to support that Creatine can cause Kidney failure. However the following confusion must be addressed.

Creatine creates a byproduct called creatinine, which may show up on medical tests. Creatinine is usually a sign of
kidney problems, but it is harmless as a side effect of Creatine supplements. In other words, it can give a false positive result.

- Always make certain that you are drinking plenty of water. This is especially important to help the kidneys deal with the abundance of nutrients that bodybuilders seek to keep in their blood.

- Consider dropping supplements such as Creatine monohydrate about a week before taking a blood test for insurance or a physical.

5. Should only people involved in weight training take Power Edge?
A cross-section of persons involved in sports also benefit from PE. This is because, during all sports, at different times during the activity, the Phosphor Creatine (PC) energy system is used. Therefore, the Creatine supplementation that is available in PE helps increase explosiveness and power in movement.

6. If I only walk daily, can I take Power Edge?
Walking for the purpose of losing weight would not require PE, but if walking is used to push back the endurance threshold, then PE will help.

7. How many sachets must I take per occasion?
A single sachet consumed 30 minutes before the activity will be adequate.

8. If I take Power Edge and stop after a while, will my body weight drop?
There is insufficient evidence to conclude that once Creatine supplementation is stopped, body weight will reduce. However if a supplementation program that includes Creatine is stopped, there could be a drop in overall body weight.

9. Does Power Edge help in building muscle directly?
Other than the effect of increasing water retention in the muscle which helps the increase muscle size, the increase in explosive energy helps overload the muscle efficiently thereby maximizing muscle development.

10. Can I consume adequate food to increase the Creatine levels in my body?
Theoretically this should be possible, but practically it is not.

11. When consuming a Creatine product, why do they say an adequate amount of water must also be consumed?
Drinking lots of water helps the body maximize utilization of Creatine in the system.

12. Can I continue to use Power Edge without stopping?
As the recommended dosage of PE is only a sachet 30 minutes before the activity, and a loading phase is not discussed or encouraged, PE can be used in this way without stopping.

13. Is there an age limit when consuming Power Edge?
In general it is advised that only adults should consume PE. However those in their late teens could also take advantage of the product.

14. Do I need to consult a doctor before taking Power Edge?
If you have any medical condition, it is always advisable to consult a doctor before taking any type of Supplement, and therefore the rule should also applied when it comes to PE.
